Who can use this?
  • Available on all plans.
  • Anyone with access to your WhatsApp channel settings can configure the widget and generate its code.
The WhatsApp Website Widget is a chat bubble you add to your own website. When a visitor clicks it, they’re taken straight into a WhatsApp conversation with your business — pre-filled with a starting message you control. It doesn’t run inside your page; it hands the visitor off to WhatsApp.

Step 1 — Business details

Go to Channels → WhatsApp → [your channel] → Widget (or Integrations → WhatsApp Widget).
  • Name of your business/brand — shown in the widget header. Defaults to your account name.
  • Availability tag — sets visitor expectations for response time, e.g. “Usually reply in 4 minutes.”

Step 2 — Choose a widget style

  • Expanded — opens with a short questionnaire: you set a Question (e.g. “I am looking for”) and a list of reply options visitors can pick from before being sent to WhatsApp. Their pick becomes part of the pre-filled message.
  • Compact — skips the questionnaire. You set a single Customer Reply Text (the message pre-filled when they click through) and a CTA button label (e.g. “Chat Now”), max 30 characters.

Step 3 — Position and appearance

  • Widget Position — Bottom Left or Bottom Right.
  • Margin Bottom / Margin Left or Right — offset in pixels from the edge of the screen (0–1000).
  • Choose Avatar or Upload Business Logo — pick from Gallabox’s preset icon set, or upload your own logo (JPEG/PNG, up to a few MB).
  • Welcome Text — the greeting shown when the widget opens, e.g. “Welcome to Gallabox!!!”

Step 4 — Generate the code

Click Get Widget Code. You can:
  • Copy it directly from the code box, or
  • Enter an email address and have it sent to your inbox instead.

Step 5 — Install it on your website

Paste the generated <script> snippet just before the closing </body> tag, on every page where you want the widget to appear.
You’ll need access to your website’s code to do this. If someone else manages your site, send them the snippet. On a website builder or CMS (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, etc.), look for a “custom code” or “tracking code” section in its settings — that’s usually where third-party embeds like this go.

Content Security Policy (CSP)

The widget snippet is an inline <script> block that then loads a second script from waw.gallabox.com. If your site’s CSP doesn’t allow inline scripts or restricts which domains can load scripts, the widget will be silently blocked. To fix it:
  • Allow waw.gallabox.com in your script-src directive.
  • Allow inline script execution for this snippet — either via 'unsafe-inline', or, if you’re using nonces/hashes, a nonce/hash covering the embed’s inline block.
If you still see it blocked after that, check your browser console for a CSP violation and allowlist whichever additional directive (e.g. connect-src) it names.

FAQs

That’s expected — the widget is a click-to-chat launcher, not an embedded chat window. It hands the visitor to WhatsApp with your message pre-filled; the conversation itself happens in WhatsApp, and replies land in your Gallabox inbox like any other WhatsApp conversation.
Confirm the snippet is before </body> on the actual page you’re testing (not just saved in your CMS but unpublished), then check your browser console for a Content Security Policy error — see the CSP section above.
Each WhatsApp channel generates one widget configuration at a time. Regenerating the code updates every page using that snippet — you’d need a separate channel to run a distinct widget elsewhere.
No — the widget itself is free. Once a visitor messages you through it, standard WhatsApp messaging applies to the resulting conversation — see How WhatsApp Message Pricing Works.
