> **Who can use this?**
>
> * Gallabox users with **catalog and commerce permissions**.
> * Roles: Owners and Admins
> * Plans: All plans (Catalog and Payments). WhatsApp Dynamic Form requires the Advanced plan.

## Plan Availability

WhatsApp Basic Forms, Catalog, and Payments are available on all Gallabox plans. WhatsApp Dynamic Forms require the Advanced plan.

## What is WhatsApp Shop?

WhatsApp Shop lets you display your products and let customers browse, inquire, and order — directly inside a WhatsApp chat.

The core of WhatsApp Shop is your **Facebook Product Catalog** — a digital inventory of your products that's connected to Gallabox. Once connected, you can:

* **Share product cards** in WhatsApp conversations — one product or a curated selection
* **Let customers browse** your full catalog without leaving WhatsApp
* **Send order summaries** after a transaction — with itemized lists, prices, and totals
* **Trigger follow-up actions** when customers interact with products (add tag, start sequence)

## How It Works

### The Catalog is the Foundation

WhatsApp Shop uses your **Facebook Product Catalog** — managed through Meta's Commerce Manager. The catalog holds all your product data: images, descriptions, prices, variants (size, color), and inventory.

Gallabox connects to this catalog to display products inside WhatsApp chats. The catalog is the single source of truth — you manage products in Commerce Manager, not in Gallabox.

<Info>
  You need a **Facebook Business Page** and a **Meta Business Manager** account to create a catalog. If you already sell on Facebook or Instagram Shopping, you likely already have a catalog.
</Info>

### Sharing Products in WhatsApp

Once your catalog is connected to Gallabox, you can share products in conversations:

* **Single product card** — send one product with image, name, price, and description
* **Multiple products** — send a selection of products (e.g., "Here are some options in your size")
* **Catalog browsing link** — send a link to browse the full catalog inside WhatsApp

Customers can respond to product cards directly — asking questions, confirming interest, or requesting to buy.

### Order Summaries

After a transaction (e.g., via phone or another channel), you can send an **Order Summary** — a structured message showing:

* List of items purchased
* Individual prices
* Subtotal, taxes, delivery fee
* Total amount
* Delivery address and estimated delivery date

Order summaries make transactions feel official and professional, and give customers a clear record of what they ordered.

## Setting Up WhatsApp Shop

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create a Facebook Product Catalog">
    If you don't already have a catalog:

    1. Go to [Commerce Manager](https://business.facebook.com/commerce_manager/get_started/).
    2. Click **Create Catalog**.
    3. Select your **catalog type**:
       * **E-commerce** — physical products (most common)
       * **Travel** — hotels, flights, rental properties
       * **Property** — real estate listings
       * **Auto** — vehicles and parts
    4. Choose how to **add products**:
       * **Manual** — add products one by one in Commerce Manager
       * **Data feed** — upload a spreadsheet (CSV/XML) or product feed URL
       * **Partner platform** — import from Shopify, WooCommerce, or other integrations
    5. Assign the catalog to your **Meta Business** account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect the Catalog to Gallabox">
    1. In Gallabox, go to **WhatsApp Shop** in the left navigation.
    2. Click **Connect Catalog** or **Add Catalog**.
    3. Authorize Gallabox to access your Meta catalog (you'll be redirected to Meta to approve permissions).
    4. Select the catalog you want to connect.
    5. The connection is established — you can now share products from this catalog in WhatsApp chats.

    <Check>
      **Pro tip:** If you already have products on Shopify or WooCommerce, use the **Partner Platform** option when creating your catalog — this syncs products automatically so you don't have to manage inventory in two places.
    </Check>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Share Products in Conversations">
    1. Open any WhatsApp conversation in Gallabox.
    2. Click the **Catalog** or **Product** icon in the compose box.
    3. Browse or search your catalog.
    4. Select the products you want to share.
    5. Click **Send** — the product cards appear in the chat.

    You can also use a **bot flow** to send relevant products automatically — for example, when a customer asks "What do you have in size M?", the bot searches the catalog and sends matching products.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Example

**Scenario:** You run an online clothing store and want to let customers browse and ask about products via WhatsApp — without them needing to visit your website.

Here's how you'd set it up:

1. Create a Facebook Product Catalog in Commerce Manager and add your clothing inventory (manual upload or from your Shopify store).
2. Connect the catalog to Gallabox via **WhatsApp Shop**.
3. Set up a bot flow that greets customers and asks what they're looking for.
4. When a customer says "I'm looking for blue shirts", the bot searches the catalog and sends product cards for all blue shirts in stock.
5. The customer taps a product card, sees the full details, and replies "Can I get size L in this?"
6. Your team confirms availability and takes the order over WhatsApp — then sends an Order Summary for the transaction.

## FAQs

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Do I need a Facebook Business Page to use WhatsApp Shop?">
    Yes. WhatsApp Shop uses Facebook's Commerce Manager, which requires a Facebook Business Page. The Page must be linked to a Meta Business Manager account. If you don't have one, create them at [facebook.com/pages/create](https://facebook.com/pages/create).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can customers pay directly inside WhatsApp?">
    Yes — Gallabox supports **payments with checkout inside WhatsApp** on all plans, via native payment integrations such as Razorpay and WhatsApp Pay. You can also use a bot flow to collect payment preferences and send payment links.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I update product prices or availability?">
    Products are managed in your **Facebook Product Catalog** (Commerce Manager), not in Gallabox. Update prices, descriptions, images, and inventory in Commerce Manager — the changes sync to Gallabox automatically. If you're using a partner platform (Shopify, WooCommerce), product sync is automatic. If manually adding products, update them directly in Commerce Manager.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I show different products to different customers?">
    Yes — via a bot flow. You can configure conditional logic that shares different catalog products based on customer tags, segments, or conversation context. For example: show winter collection products to customers tagged "cold-weather region" and summer collection to others.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What catalog types are supported?">
    Meta Commerce Manager supports: E-commerce (physical products), Travel (hotels, flights, rentals), Property (real estate), and Auto (vehicles). Gallabox supports displaying all catalog types in WhatsApp, but the most common use case is E-commerce.
